Drink plenty of clean drinking water everyday: It helps flush out toxins & other unwanted elements deposited in our body, It maintains fluid levels in the body, It reduces hunger, helps to achieve weight loss, It keeps us hydrated, skin becomes more smooth, soft & young. As our age increases, we should consume more water to keep away many diseases. Is it confusing? However, it is true according to ‘Ayurveda’.
Limit consumption of Caffeine, as it dehydrates your bodies. When you want to drink some thing, drink clean drinking water or lemon water or try herbal tea or coconut water instead of a caffeinated coffee or carbonated drink. Eat a lot of fruits & vegetables, as it contains flavonoids. They are strong anti-oxidants. Drink Green Tea: Green tea is a good source of flavonoids & is a natural diuretic. It has several health benefits like metabolizing of fat, facilitating an easy digestion. Reduce your salt ( sodium ) intake.. Excessive consumption of salt is not good for your heart. Over the period it deposits in your veins, arteries which causes high blood pressure. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.. Lunch should be healthy but a less than what you ate for breakfast. As you approach dinner, eat healthy but lite. As per one saying : Take your Breakfast like a King. At noon, take a lunch like an ordinary man & at night eat like a beggar ( means very less ). Always, try to eat little less than required & replace low calories but healthy food for high calories food & take proper exercise daily, which is most suitable to you. If you use this simple formula, you can reduce your weight & keep it at ideal levels. Opt for vegetarian diet! Meat diet excites the nervous system. Instead, take a milk & vegetarian diet, as it calms the nervous system & improves sleep, which are very important conditions for normal functioning of our cardiovascular system. Therefore, be vegetarian or at least curtail the use of non veg food in your diet. Always, try to keep harmony within you & with surrounding things. |
