What is body mass index (bmi)?The Body Mass Index, now popularly called BMI, invented by Adolphe Quetelet in 19th century for evaluating the body mass.
With the help of BMI, we can determine body fat & amount of lean body mass. By applying BMI, we can decide whether a person is obese, overweight or healthy. Mesomorphic people tend to have higher BMI than endomorphic people, because they have greater bone mass & greater muscle mass, respectively, than to endomorphic people.
